as Jenny Markham (Diamond)

The demented daughter of crimelord Victor Markham and wife to Zed Diamond, Jenny made her dramatic debut in December 1985, chained to a bed in Victor's house! A dead ringer for Julie Clegg, viewers were at first led to believe that Jenny was indeed a kidnapped Julie.

An amnesiac, Jenny had been presumed dead in an attack three years earlier, but was in fact being hidden by her father. She ultimately reunited with Zed and confessed to shooting Mark Denning, a crime that everyone thought Julie committed.

In May 1986, Jenny went off the deep end when an assassin shot and killed her father. She subsequently developed an irrational hatred for Sloane Denning, whom Jenny believed was out to steal Zed. After a plot to murder her foe with poisoned chocolates failed, Jenny invited Sloane to dinner and spiked a bottle of table wine with poison. Obviously lacking her late father's criminal aptitude, she inadvertently drank the wine herself and died.
