The youngest member of the McCandless clan was also Capitol's first casualty. Young, college student Gill spent most of her time either giggling with best friend Lizbeth Bachman or fretting about brother Wally's gambling addiction. With little else to do, Gill was quickly written out of the series, never to be mentioned again. It was for the best. Later on, actress Kelly Palzis changed her last name to Preston, enjoyed a successful motion picture career, and married John Travolta.
