Lola Falana as CharityLOLA FALANA

as Charity Blake

Beautiful Charity Blake appeared as Kelly Harper's artist's rep in December 1984. A seemingly marginal character at first, the audience was soon to learn there was a hell of a lot more to Charity than met the eye.

For one thing, Zed Diamond quickly uncovered her checkered past as an art thief. Using the information against her, he blackmailed Charity into stealing a priceless Gaugin. Then, in an odd alliance, this unlikely duo proved there is honor among theives... the two strangely bonded by secret pasts and mutual losses of loved ones.

What no one knew was that Charity's former fiancee Glen Marriott had piloted the ill-fated flight that killed him (and presumably Baxter McCandless) off the Caribbean coast of Columbe. Convinced crooked senator Josh Harrington engineered the "accident", Charity had moved to D.C. seeking revenge. She didn't have to. Tyler McCandless's Pan-Caribbean investigation exposed Harrington's criminal activities in January 1986, and he was sent to prison, where he was later murdered.

After that, Charity was left peacefully with her art; the last canvas associated with her being Capitol's... the one this entertaining, intriguing character was sadly written off of.
